_Independent Baptist College in Romania
_In September 2002, a Romanian Bible college, the Colegiul Baptist Independent din Romania in Coşteiu, Romania, was started with the vision of Tri-City Baptist Church, located in Independence, Missouri and BIMI missionary Ed Hembree. Several other missionaries were also involved in the beginning of CBIR.
This college had a great beginning with many students who enrolled and several who graduated and continue to serve the Lord in Romania. It continues its missionary philosophy of training nationals to reach their countries and people with the good news of Jesus’ life, death, burial, and resurrection. The inclusion of Romania into the European Union has made possible the expansion of this training ministry into all of Europe. In September of 2013, classes will begin in English for students from all over Europe, including Eastern Europe.
