Welcome to IBC! 

Located in Western Romania in Costei, a village near Lugoj, the Independent Baptist College is situated on the E70 about 45 km east of Timisoara.  Since September 2002, IBC has been training men and women for the work of the Lord.

 

PURPOSE

The purpose of the college is to train men and women, called of God into His service, to reach Europeans for Christ by equipping them to assist in successfully establishing Independent Baptist Churches.  Teaching is from the independent, fundamental, Baptist perspective of Biblical Christianity. The primary objective will always be the training of God-called nationals.

 

MAJORS

Each major offered is combined with a Bible Major. At present the major areas of study offered are:  Pastoral Studies and Christian Music, and a Christian Service major is currently being developed.  These are four year, 128 credit hour courses of study that will give the student a solid basis for serving the Lord in the local church.

 

ASSOCIATION

The college is not associated with any particular mission board, agency or organization.  IBC is under the ministry of Tri-City Baptist Church, Independence, Missouri, pastored by Dr. Carl Herbster.
